Periodontal disease is a severe and irreversible type of gum disease.


It is caused by bacteria slowly destroying the bone that holds the teeth in place. It crates pocketing around your teeth resulting in teeth mobility and eventually, loss of teeth!


Common symptoms include:

  • Puffy and bleeding gums,

  • Receding gums,

  • Food trap,

  • Bad breath,

  • Loosening of teeth.


Causes include:

  • Poor oral hygiene,

  • Past or current smoking,

  • Some medical conditions such as diabetes.
